Softball: Lady Falcons snap losing streak

WINDER-- Junior Jessica Thomas pitched a complete game for Flowery Branch to lead the Lady Falcons to a 4-2 win over Winder-Barrow in Region 8-AAAAA girls softball action.

Thomas allowed just five hits in getting the win over the region-leading Lady Bulldoggs (5-6-1, 3-1).

The win for Flowery Branch (10-8, 2-2 in region) also snapped a two-game losing streak.

Kelly Kahlert led the Lady Falcons with a two-run home run in fifth inning, which scored Megan Prichard, who singled in Hope Stockel earlier in the inning.

Flowery Branch next will play host to Apalachee on Thursday in another key region match up.
