Power outage south of Gainesville nearly overBy Derreck Booth Editor GAINESVILLE - Jackson EMC workers had power restored to all but about 40 customers around 11 a.m. Tuesday south of Gainesville.
According to Jackson EMC spokeswoman Bonnie Jones, a tree fell onto a power pole around 3 a.m. and downed some lines along Roy Parks Road. At last check the roadway was still blocked as crews continued their work. About 1600 customers were affected by the outage earlier in the day. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
