Movie partially filmed in Dawson Co. premieres Sept. 21

A movie, partially filmed in Dawson County earlier this year, is scheduled to open across the country later this month.

The filming brought a lot of sightseers to Dawson County with Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Tourism Marty Williams saying at the time that it was hard to get into Dawsonville with all the cars.

Filming took place at Amicalola Lodge.

Williams, also the county's Camera Ready liaison, was instrumental in working with the producers of "Trouble with the Curve" as they made plans to come to Dawson County.

The movie, about an aging scout for the Atlanta Braves, premieres Sept. 21. It also stars Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake.
