OAKWOOD -- The momentum continues to build for Johnson football.
One week after busting a 12-game losing skid, the Knights stormed to their first 2-0 start since 2007 courtesy a 36-21 defeat of Oglethorpe County on Friday in Oakwood.
Much like last week, Cedric Harris did much of the heavy lifting for the Knights, rushing 26 times for 258 yards, catching two passes for 12 yards and scoring five touchdowns.
The senior fullback touched the ball 39 times in the season-opening win, but proved even more explosive on Friday, averaging 9.9 yards per carry.
Knights quarterback Paul Barker also had eight carries for 21 yards, while completing 3-of-5 passes for 45 yards.
AJ Millwood also had three carries for 55 yards, as Johnson bulled its way to 346 yards rushing. The only real blot on the performance were four lost fumbles.
The Knights will look to make it 3-0 next week when they travel to face North Hall.
