CUMMING – Vince Sciorrotta drilled a 38-yard field with 5:33 left and the North Forsyth defense held on in the final moments to preserve a 10-7 win over rival Forsyth Central Friday night.
Forsyth Central had a chance to send the game into overtime but missed a 46-yard attempt with just over a minute left. The Raiders ran out the final minute to earn the win, their third straight in the series.
Forsyth Central took the early lead in the first quarter on a 39-yard halfback pass and it stayed that way will until Jamal Davenport scampered 15 yards to tie the game in the second quarter.
Neither team could score in the third quarter but Sciorrotta broke the tie and then watched while the Raiders defense forced a long try for a field goal that sailed wide.
