Gainesville mayor, grandchildren first to cross pedestrian bridgeBy Katie Crumley Access Insider
Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan and his grandchildren were the first to cross over Gainesville's new pedestrian bridge Friday.
GAINESVILLE - Six-year-old Mills Lothridge and 5-year-old Bella Dunagan joined their grandfather, Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan, this morning, as the first citizens to officially cross Gainesville's pedestrian bridge.
Shortly afterward, local citizens were using the bridge to pass from downtown to midtown. Those citizens included James Weber and his dog Tebo, who is the first dog to walk across the new bridge. The City of Gainesville is planning an official bridge opening and ribbon cutting for the bridge sometime in the next month. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
