ELBERTON – Four people were arrested Thursday afternoon on drug and weapons charges following a multi-month investigation into illegal drug activity at 107 Seaboard Street and a tractor-trailer being used as an office by Charles Allen Rucker, 51, of Elberton.

On Friday, Elbert County Sheriff Barry Haston reported the arrest of Chrissy Lynn Fleming, 39, of Elberton; Rondal Booth Morrison, 38, of Elberton; Beau Jacob Bailey, 25, of Dewy Rose; and Rucker.

“During the execution of the search warrant by Elbert County deputies, the four individuals were present inside a small office area that was protected by a surveillance camera system,” Haston said. “Inside this area, deputies located multiple packages of crystal methamphetamine, semi-automatic handguns, drug packing materials, smoking devices, and multiple types of prescription controlled substances. A stolen utility trailer also was located at the residence.”

Bailey was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor theft by taking, Elbert County jail records show.

Both Fleming and Morrison were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession and use of drug-related objects, jail records show.

Rucker was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor theft by taking, failure to keep prescription drugs in their original containers, and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, jail records show.

Haston said the tractor-trailer and vehicles were removed off the private property.

Bond is expected to be denied for Fleming, Morrison and Rucker because they were already out on bond awaiting a court date for other charges, Haston said.

The investigation is continuing.
