Lawrenceville man jailed on explosives charges

LAWRENCEVILLE - Authorities have arrested a resident of a Springlake Drive home and charged him with possession and manufacture of explosive devices.

Lawrenceville police told Fox 5 Atlanta that they went to the home Wednesday after they received reports of shots being fired.

Officers said they found what appeared to be an explosive device behind the home. They also said they found about a dozen suspicious devices inside the home, along with suspicious chemicals.

Spencer Braswell was arrested in the case.

Families in the area were evacuated from their homes while police seized the items in question; they were allowed to return late in the day Wednesday.
