SEA ISLAND -- Sonny Skinner of River Pointe Golf Course in Albany carded a five-under par 67 to capture his second title atthe E-Z-GO/ExecGolf Georgia PGA Championship presented by TaylorMade adidas Golf, Ashworth, and the PGA Tour, conducted at Sea Island Golf Club’s Plantation Course on St. Simon’s Island.
A number of northeast Georgia-based golfers also competed, including James Mason (The Orchard), who tied for 10th with a three-day total of 1-over, 217 -- including back-to-back rounds of 70 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Greg Lee (Chicopee Woods) and Clark Spratlin (Currahee Club) each finished tied for 23rd with three-day totals of 7-over, 223, and Dewitt Weaver (Chateau Elan-Legends) tied for 26th with a three-day, 8-over, 224.
Jeff Frasier (Chicopee) also tied for 36th; Don Williams (Chattahoochee Golf Club) tied for 84th; Brian Conley (Legacy on Lanier) tied for 86th.
