GAINESVILLE - Fair Street International Baccalaureate World School has been awarded a $2,000 grant from Target to help fund Fair Street’s Family Read Together program. In a joint effort to increase literacy, Target has partnered with Fair Street to encourage families to spend more time reading together as a family unit.

Target partners with various organizations, such as schools, to assist with community needs and is committed to making a difference in the lives of youth by inspiring minds, offering unique cultural experiences, and providing basic resources to communities.

Since 1946, Target has given five percent of its income to communities, donating more than $3 million every week. Over 1,700 Target stores continue to carry on the tradition by awarding local grants and providing countless volunteer hours.
