Banks County senior dies from injuries suffered in Aug. 18 wreck

JEFFERSON – A Banks County High School senior who was seriously injured in a single-vehicle wreck near Jefferson Aug. 18 died Friday.

Courtney Alisha Phagan, 18, of Maysville was injured when the 2002 Ford Explorer she was driving overturned on Georgia Highway 11 (U.S. Highway 129), 0.5 mile north of W.J. Dills Road near Jefferson at 2:43 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. W.J. Dills Road is located between Interstate 85 and U.S. 129 Business.

Funeral arrangements for Phagan are incomplete and will be announced by Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville.
