Thousands expected in Clarkesville for United Way Family Fun FestBy Rob Moore Editor CLARKESVILLE – The United Way of Habersham, Rabun and Banks counties is gearing up to host thousands of people from throughout the area at its annual Family Fun Fest.
The event will be held from 4-10 p.m. Saturday at the Habersham County Recreation Center/Ruby C. Fulbright Aquatic Center at 120 Paul Franklin Road, Clarkesville. “Even though the event is held in Habersham County, the event draws folks from all over,” said United Way Board Member Stacy Hall. “The carnival-like event is open to everyone and includes live entertainment, carnival games, fireworks, lots of food, and much more.” Proceeds raised from Family Fun Fest help United Way support its 25 partner agencies. Officials say 99 percent of the money raised by United Way stays in its own community. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
