GAINESVILLE - Few details are being released after a body was discovered behind Lake Lanier Club Apartments in Gainesville Friday night.
Gainesville Police Corp. Kevin Holbrook said the body was found in a heavily wooded area and along rough terrain around 7:30 p.m.
He said the body has been sent to the Dekalb County Medical Examiner's Office. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is also investigating.
Hours before the discovery, police issued a missing persons release concerning 16-year-old Hannah Truelove, who was last seen Thursday morning near the apartment complex where the body was found.
There's no word yet on whether her disappearance and the discovery of the body are related.
