GAINESVILLE - Hall County's elections director is expecting a bigger turnout for Tuesday's runoff elections that she saw in 2008.

Hall County Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee said 4,156 people have participated in early voting for the runoff elections, which she says is indicative of what they'll see on election day.

"I expect about 16 percent of our voters to turn out this year for the runoff," she said.

Sosebee said in the 2008 runoff elections, a little over 1.5 percent of Hall County voters participated in early voting. She said only 8.7 percent cast ballots on that runoff election day.
