ATLANTA - The man who carried Hall County in the 2008 GOP presidential primary is coming to Gainesville this week, hoping to use his influence to help put Republican Mitt Romney in the White House.

Former Arkansas Governor turned radio talk show host Mike Huckabee will appear at a fundraising event at the Robson Center on Broad Street in downtown Gainesville Thursday afternoon.

In addition to Huckabee, Governor Nathan Deal and Lt. Governor Casey Cagle will be among state party leaders trying to raise dollars for a Romney victory in November.

The fundraising event begins at 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices rage from $1,000 to $10,000.

For more information, contact Dabney Hollis, Georgia Finance Director at 404-791-7179 or dabneyh@me.com.

Note: Huckabee's nationally syndicated talk show is broadcast weekdays on WDUN from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
