Habersham teen airlifted after bicycle wreck

CLARKESVILLE – A Habersham County teen was airlifted after being hurt in a bicycle wreck north of Clarkesville Wednesday afternoon.

Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell confirmed the boy was hurt in the accident near his home, but did not release the teen's name.

The incident happened off Hollywood Highway (Historic Highway 441) south of Hollywood. Because of a storm in the area of the accident, a helicopter met the ambulance at Habersham Medical Center for transport.

Further details of the incident are not immediately available.
