Barrow Co. firefighters work overnight mulch fire

WINDER - Barrow County authorities spent all of Sunday night fighting mulch fires at a recycling plant on Barrow Industrial Parkway in Winder.

Authorities said firefighters got the call around 4:45 p.m. Sunday and remained on scene until 7 'o clock Monday morning, when they contained the blaze to two piles of mulch.

They said the cause of the fire was spontaneous combustion of the mulch.
