HELEN - A man tubing down the Chattahoochee River in Helen this weekend was airlifted to an Atlanta Hospital after tripping on a rock in the riverbed.
Authorities said the man, who has not been identified, was taken by air ambulance as a precaution since his fall may have resulted in a spinal cord injury. His condition in not immediately available.
In addition, six to eight other tubers were evaluated over the weekend when a large section of a tree fell into the river, but officials said no one was transported as a result of that incident.
