The Southern Explosion softball team recently won the Dizzy Dean World Series in the 14-and-under division in Southaven, Miss.
Explosion shortstop, Kali Turner, was named tournament MVP in the process, while Hannah Brown, Madeline Hall and Logan Turner were each named to the All-Tournament team.
Southern Explosion defeated the Bayou Belles (La.) 13-12, the Glitter Hitters (Miss.) 13-6, the Pontotoc Power (Miss.) 6-5 and the Pinellas Park Outlawz (Fla.) 19-15.
