MT. AIRY – A Toccoa man escaped injury when the camper he was towing and his pickup truck overturned at 11:38 Sunday morning near Mt. Airy.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, 68-year-old William Ronnie Yearwood was traveling north on Glade Creek Parkway in a 2004 Dodge Ram truck pulling a camper trailer. The vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the road, then Yearwood began to overcorrect, the GSP report shows. The camper then struck a tree with its right side. The camper overturned onto its right side, and the truck overturned onto its top. “The driver stated he ran off the roadway and overcorrected,” the GSP report states. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
