Candidates for Hall Co. sheriff square off July 17

FLOWERY BRANCH - The candidates for Hall County Sheriff will square off again on July 17 at a forum sponsored by the South Hall Republican Club. It will be the club's final political forum before the July 31 primaries, according to president Ed Asbridge.

Gerald Couch, Chuck Hewett, John Sisk, Jeff Strickland and Jon Strickland are running in the Republican Primary to succeed the retiring Steve Cronic. There is no Democratic candidate for the post.

Asbridge said the forum will be held at the Spout Springs Library and will begin at 6:30 p.m..
