Details, identity released in fatal motorcycle crashBy Katie Crumley Access Insider GAINESVILLE - The name of the motorcyclist whose body was found Thursday morning alongside the railroad tracks on Candler Highway has been released.
Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Tim Meyer said 20-year-old Caleb Andrew Powers was apparently on his way home from work around 2 a.m. when the single-vehicle crash occurred. "For unknown reasons he left the roadway in a curve, traveled off the road, down an embankment, overturned and was killed on impact," he said. Authorities said a passerby discovered the crash scene and called authorities around 11 a.m. Meyer said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have been a factor, and he said no other vehicles were involved. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
