Members of the Falcons celebrate the Ripken Tournament title.
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -– It was a big week in South Carolina for the 12-and-under Flowery Branch Travel Baseball Team, as the Falcons clinched a championship in the prestigious Ripkin Experience tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Falcons sealed their victory via a 10-7, seven-inning battle over the Bulls of Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Flowery Branch went undefeated in tournament play, eclipsing opponents from Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida.
The Falcons are coached by Dean Coxworth, Travis Coxworth, John Probst, Jeff Jenkins and Steve Erikson. Players include, Grant James, Noah Ledford, Davis Weaver, Charlie Erikson, Jeffrey Jenkins, Avery Probst, Blake Coxworth, Justin (J.Q.) Quick, Trace Merck, Reece Olson, and Nick Langford.
