Trip to Dawsonville leads to $500K Ga. Lottery win for Ft. Stewart manBy Ken Stanford Staff ATLANTA – A Fort Stewart man, on a visit to Dawsonville, has picked up a half-million dollars from the Georgia Lottery. Khot Souimaniphanh, 39, won a $500,000 top prize playing the instant game Cash Deluxe.
Souimaniphanh had taken his son to college orientation in Dawsonville when he stopped at the Chevron Food Mart, 104 Highway 400 S. in Dawsonville, and purchased a ticket. “I just walked in there looking for a ticket and that was the one,” the lucky winner said. Souimaniphanh bought it on his way home and scratched it after he got back to Fort Stewart. He claimed his prize Wednesday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
