WINDER - A Barrow County jury is hearing the case this week of 42-year-old James Morris Lynn, Jr., the man accused of beating his wife to death and hiding her body in a well last summer.

A spokeswoman for the Barrow County District Attorney's Office confirmed that jury selection was held Monday and testimony began Tuesday in the case.

Lynn's trial originally was to be held in March, but proceedings were delayed.

Investigators found the body of 38-year-old Tonya Lynn in a well off Ethridge Road in Auburn on July 29, two days after a relative reported her missing.

Police reports released during the investigation of Tonya Lynn's disappearance indicated the couple had had previous domestic problems.
