Court date postponed for Cornelia explosives suspect

GAINESVILLE - A Habersham County woman remains jailed in Hall County on explosives, firearms and drug charges after a preliminary court hearing was cancelled Friday morning.

Officials with U.S. District Court in Gainesville did not say why the hearing for Celia A. Savage was cancelled, but did say it likely would be rescheduled for sometime next week.

Savage was arrested after federal, state and local officials raided her home on Garrison Road Wednesday afternoon. According to a criminal complaint, agents found two pipe bombs, as well as firearms and suspected illegal drugs during the raid.

In that criminal complaint, Savage is quoted as saying that manufacturing and detonating explosive devices is her hobby.
