CALUMET CITY, ILLINOIS - A traffic accident in the Chicago area claimed the life of a Talmo, Georgia man Thursday morning.
It happened in Calumet City, according to Fox Chicago News and killed 37 year old Joseph Foster when his tractor trailer crashed into a house.
The rig also hit a car.
"I was like, 'whoa, is he going to slow down, what is he doing,' so I tried stopping, and I just saw him come at me," car driver Tyler Weightman told Fox Chicago News.
Weightman's passenger Raelyn Zeihon said she's blessed to be alive.
"God was really protecting us. It could have been a lot worse. We were lucky that we got out safe, and were not hurt at all."
Foster's daughter was in the back of the tractor at the time of the collision. She was being treated at an area hospital, according to the television station.
