Lula restaurant reopensBy Ken Stanford, Katie Highsmith LULA - An East Hall restaurant has reopened after repairs following an incident four months ago in which a car struck the building.
The owners of Lula Corner Cafe say they are now open for dinner. No one was seriously injured in the June 16 incident which happened around lunchtime. Maureen Marr is the owner of Lula Corner Cafe, and she said at the time that she came out of the kitchen to see a small gray car halfway inside the restaurant. "And as I went out the door and looked, I saw all the glass and the debris from the glass," Marr said. "And when I looked in, there were three customers and one of the customers was bleeding." She said the driver of the car thought he was hitting the brake but he was hitting the gas instead. "The customers could hear the tires spinning on the concrete as he was approaching the building, or hitting the building," said Marr. Link: Lula Corner Cafe © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
