The East Hall volleyball team split a tri-match on Thursday night, claiming its 20th victory of the campaign in a win over Chestatee. The Lady Vikings also fell to Lakeview Academy.
East Hall edged Chestatee 21-25, 25-18, 25-20 and fell 25-23, 18-25, 24-26 to the Lady Lions.
Brittney Cambell paced the Lady Vikings during the night with 26 points scored on serve, 8 aces, 2 kills, 24 assists and 14 digs. Kara Hix also adde 14 points scored on serve, 5 aces, 7 kills, 1 assist and 8 digs, while Emily Hoggard had 13 points scored on serve, 1 ace, 6 kills, 1 assist, 12 digs and 2 blocks. Tarryn Long posted 13 points scored on serve, 7 aces, 15 kills, 1 block and 15 digs, and Latisha Shelton had 4 points scored on serve, 2 kills, 2 assists, 3 blocks and 20 digs. Kaleigh Duckworth finished with 6 points scored on serve with 2 aces, 2 kills, and 2 digs.
The Lady Vikings finished third in their sub-region and will play host to the Area 8-A/AA tournament. East Hall will play George Walton at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
