Stocking Scurry 5K set for Sept. 24 in Gainesville

The third Stocking Scurry 5K race will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 24 in downtown Gainesville.

The annual run will benefit the Gainesville Jaycees Empty Stocking Fund -- which helps provide Christmas for hundreds of Hall County children.

Entry fees are $15 for runners ages 18-and-under and 55-and-over and $20 for all other ages until Sept. 17. Entry fee is $25 after Sept. 17.

The race will include awards for top three male and female runners in each age group, top overall male and female runner, masters (40-plus) and grand masters (50-plus) runners. T-shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered runners.
