LULA – Plans to work the entire weekend again on the Georgia Highway 365 resurfacing between Lula and Cornelia have been scrapped because of forecasts of rain.

State DOT announced the change in plans Friday afternoon, saying there would be no work Saturday or during the day Sunday. Work Friday night and Sunday night was expected to proceed as planned.

"No work is scheduled for Saturday from 7 a.m. through Sunday at 5 p.m. this weekend,” explained Georgia DOT District Engineer, Todd McDuffie.

The 21-mile, $19.2 million project has a contract completion date is June 30, 2012.
