High School notebook: GHS-Buford football on ESPN

The Aug. 26 high school football game between Buford and Gainesville will be broadcast live on ESPN 360 over the internet.
The announcement means the contest, which will be played at Buford's Tom Riden Stadium, has been moved from a typical Friday night kickoff time of 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The game will be the season-opener for Gainesville, while the Wolves will commence the season a week earlier, taking on Blessed Trinity on Aug. 19 in Roswell. The Wolves are coming off a fourth straight Class AA crown, while Gainesville won its third straight region title in 2010.
-- WOLVES GAME WITH FLORIDA TEAM MOVED: It was also announced that Buford's game with Yulee, Fla., originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, will now be played on Sept. 9.
The Wolves will play the game at the Westminster School in Atlanta, kicking off at 8:30 p.m.
-- GHS SEASON TICKETS ON SALE: Season tickets for the 2011 Gainesville High football season will go on sale on Aug. 4 at the Gainesville High gym.
Tickets cost $50 each, include five home games and will be sold from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30-3 p.m. each day.
Gainesville Athletics will hold 2010 regular season seat assignments until Aug. 22 at 3:30 p.m., at which time all unsold seats will become available for purchase by general public.
