BLAIRSVILLE -- The East Hall girls basketball team smacked Union County 70-20 on Tuesday night in Blairsville.
The Lady Vikings (10-7, 3-2 Region 8A-AA) closed the first quarter on a 24-0 run to take a 26-6 lead. East Hall also led 38-18 at halftime and held Union to only two third quarter points en route to a 58-20 lead after three.
East Hall pitched a shutout in the fourth - outscoring Union County 12-0. The Lady Vikings now move into third place in 8A-AA and drop the Lady Panthers from second to fourth.
The Lady Vikings were led by a game-high 15 points from Jasmine Jenkins. Morgan Jackson also scored 14 for the visitors, while Kayleigh Lunsford added 11.
Union's Becka Merritt scored seven points to lead the Lady Panthers (8-8, 2-2), who will look to bounce back against undefeated Fannin County on Friday in Blairsville.
East Hall will play host to Dawson County on Friday in Rabbittown.
