OAKWOOD -- The West Hall boys basketball team got a big performance from Shunquez Stephens in a 77-72 win over Johnson on Friday night at West Hall.
Stephens scored a game-high 24 points to help the Spartans (12-9, 5-6 Region 7B-AAA) finish strong in the win.
Jarquise Young also scored 21 points for West Hall, while Dylan Bartlett added 12 points.
Tre Dudley’s 24 points led the Knights (11-9, 6-3), who fell out of a tie with Gainesville for first place in 7B-AAA with the loss. Chris Henry also finished with 20 points and Grant Cagle added 14.
Johnson travels to take on West Forsyth on Saturday, while West Hall plays host to White County on Saturday.
