10-year-old suffers serious scalding

LAWRENCEVILLE - A 10 year old from Lawrenceville was taken to the hospital after suffering a serious scalding early Saturday evening.

Gwinnett County firefighters responded around 6:20pm to a report of a pediatric burn injury at Magnolia Point Apartments in Lawrenceville.

Crews found a 10 year old child with a serious scald burn. The child was accidentally burned by hot water from the kitchen stove.

The child, who was conscious, alert, and breathing, was transported to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Information regarding the child's condition was not released.
