Boys basketball: Dawson claims Hebron Inv. title

DACULA -- The Dawson County boys basketball team caputred the Hebron Christian Invitational title on Tuesday night thanks to a 59-48 victory over the host team in Dacula.

The Tigers (4-0) got clutch performances from Steven Scaife, who hit 6 of 7 free throws down the stretch, and Jocob Evans, who sank four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.

Scaife finished with a game-high 29 points, while Evans added 18.

Shawn Gibbs paced Hebron Christian with 15 in the loss.

Dawson County will play at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Cross Keys.
