BUFORD - Gwinnett County Police are looking for two suspects who stole $3,000 from a woman in Buford, after convincing her they needed her help cashing in their winning lottery ticket.

Authorities said the two approached the woman at the Wal-Mart in Buford on Nov. 13 and told her they had a winning $500,000 lotto ticket. Explaining that they couldn't cash it because they were illegal immigrants, officials said the victim allowed the two to ride in her car as she withdrew the money from a nearby bank.

According to investigators, one of the suspects feigned an illness and convinced the woman to take them to a pharmacy. Once they got there, Gwinnett County officials said the two suspects fled with the money.

The suspects were last seen leaving the pharmacy parking lot at 2630 Braselton Highway in a white passenger vehicle. One suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 60 years old, roughly 5 foot 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds with brown hair. The other was also described as a Hispanic female, approximately 50-55 years old, roughly 5 foot 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds.
