Trinity Trot set to run Saturday

OAKWOOD -- One of the north Georgia's oldest 5K road races is set to run Saturday, Nov. 21 on the campus of Gainesville State College. The Trinity Trot 5K is scheduled to start its 15th edition at 2 p.m. with a 1-mile fun run for 12-and-under boys and girls to follow the main event.
Registration is $20 prior to race day and $25 day-of. Forms may be picked up at McEver Road United Methodist Church at 3606 McEver Road in Oakwood, at Falcon Parkway Fitness in Flowery Branch, or downloaded from the church’s Web site at www.mceverumc.org. Online registration is also available at www.active.com.
Overall trophies will be handed out to the top male and female runners as well as to age group winners in the 5K and to the winners of the girls and boys mile. Medals are awarded for second and third places in each age group, and finish ribbons will be handed out to mile participants. All 5K runners will receive long-sleeve t-shirts, this year in desert khaki.
The race is hosted by the McEver Road United Methodist Men with proceeds used for their mission work. For more information, call 770-532-3160.
