Arrest made in attempted abduction

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office has arrested a North Hall man in the same area where he is believed to have attempted to lure a 10 year old child into a pickup last Sunday.

The arrest was made Saturday night not long after, according to investigators, someone became suspicious of a pickup at the intersection of Hubert Stephens Road and Trojan Drive, and was able to obtain the license number.

Trojan Drive is where the attempted abduction occurred a week ago.

About 10:00 Saturday night, Hall County sheriff's deputies located the pickup and its driver. 51 year old Dwayne Seibel was taken into custody without incident.

Seibel, who lives on Claude Parks Road in Murrayville, has been charged with Attempted Kidnapping in relation to the November 1 incident.
