UNDATED - Voters in northeast Georgia this morning were keeping election workers busy in some places while elsewhere it had been slow.

The busiest of several randomly checked placed shortly before noon appeared to be Banks County. An election worker there said things had been "a little bit busy" this morning; "slow but steady" was the report from Lula; Braselton reported that things had been "busy" so far; and turnout had been "steady" in Dahlonega.

It had been a slow morning for the most part for election workers in Gainesville. Just before noon, only about 50 people had voted at the Gainesville Civic Center, the largest of the city polling places.

"It's good but it's slow," said Manager Pat Rail. "Usually we have a line, but we did not this morning."
