Three People And A Dog Injured In White County Accident

(Cleveland)- Highway 115 just East of Cleveland was shut down Thursday morning for just over an hour following a three vehicle accident. Ana Newberry, White County Fire Department spokeswoman said the accident was at Dew Drop Lane. A van with two occupants, a pickup truck and a third vehicle that was sitting on the side of the road with no occupants were involved.

Newberry said a passenger in the van was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries by White County EMS.  The van driver was trapped in the vehicle and after removal was transported to Grady Hospital via Emory Flight helicopter.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with what was described as non-life threatening injuries, by White County EMS.

According to Newberry the pickup truck also had a dog as a passenger, the dog was picked up by Cleveland Veterinary Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The  Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident, no details available.
