4 arrested on burglary charges

GAINESVILLE - Four people, an 18-year-old and three juveniles (including an 11-year-old), are facing burglary charges after their arrests in connection with a break-in at a north Gainesville residence.

Lt. Carol Martin of the Gainesville Police Department said the four were arrested shortly after the homeowner came home, about noon Saturday, and discovered one of them in the house, which is on Laura Drive.

"Upon seeing the victim," Lt. Martin said, "the suspect ran out the back door."

Martin said police found the four suspects nearby and each has been charged with burglary. Jewelry that was taken from the residence has been recovered.

Arrested were Robert Darrel Davis, 18, 435 Holly Drive, Gainesville, and three juveniles...ages 11, 12, and 14.
