DAHLONEGA - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has now stepped in to investigate the death of a man whose body was found near Boggs Creek in Lumpkin County Friday morning.

GBI Special Agent in Charge Mike Ayers said the 30-year-old man appears to have been camping with another individual in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

"He was found deceased this morning by the individual camping with him," said Ayers.

He said the body has been transported to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.

Ayers would not comment on the cause of death until the autopsy was complete, but did say there were no suspects at this time.
