BETHLEHEM – The getaway car in Thursday afternoon's robbery of the Community Bank & Trust branch in Bethlehem was found Friday morning.
"We've located the suspects' vehicle, a 2005 black Range Rover, off of Bethlehem Church Road near its intersection with Smith Mill Road in a field," said Barrow County Sheriff's Maj. Todd Druse.
Druse said a passerby reported seeing the vehicle. The car apparently was stolen from Dekalb County several days ago. He said the suspects remain at large.
The Community Bank &Trust in Bethlehem was robbed by two armed men just after 4 p.m. Thursday.
"One of the men brandished a silver handgun," said Druse.
He said one of the men was wearing black jeans, grey sweater, grey shoes and dark colored work gloves. He said the other suspect was wearing a red long-sleeved pullover shirt, blue jeans and white latex gloves. Both men were wearing nylon stocking masks and hats.
Druse said the suspects fled with over $11,000 in cash.
No one was injured during the robbery. There were only two employees working at the bank at the time of the robbery.
