Maysville council says no to alcohol sales

MAYSVILLE - Restaurants in the Banks County town of Maysville will not be serving beer and wine to patrons.

Maysville City Clerk Barbara Thomas said the vote at Monday night's called City Council meeting was a unanimous "no." Public hearings on the alcohol-by-the-drink issue had generated heated debate in the town over the last three months.
