Jackson County toddler dies after swimming pool accident

PENDERGRASS - A 2-year-old Pendergrass boy, in critical condition since Monday after nearly drowning when he fell into a pool in Hoschton, has died.

Adrian Tony Murphy of Pendergrass was being watched by babysitter at a house on Skelton Road in Hoschton when the accident happened, according to Steve Nichools with Jackson County EMS.

Nichols said Monday units were able to get a pulse and transfer the child to a hospital.

Authorities said this morning the youngster died Tuesday after being removed from life support.
