Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker to benefit Habersham schools

ATLANTA - A partnership between the Clarkesville Better Hometown and the Atlanta Ballet will benefit Habersham County schools.

Partnering through the Clarkesville Better Hometown program, Habersham County Schools is offering tickets for sale on its Web site to the upcoming season of Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker. Families and friends of Habersham County Schools who purchase tickets to Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker at the Fabulous Fox Theatre by Oct. 31 will, at the same time, raise funds to benefit local schools. Twenty percent of net tickets sales purchased through the school system link to Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker Project will go back to Habersham County Schools.

Clarkesville Downtown Coordinator E. Lane Gresham encourages families to make plans to celebrate this special anniversary season of performances. “Don’t miss out on this opportunity to help our schools while making your own holiday memories,” Gresham said.

Habersham Schools Superintendent Robert Costley is enthusiastic about partnering with the Clarkesville Better Hometown program on the fund raiser. “The Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker is a holiday classic, and we hope our student families will consider sharing in this magical production while supporting Habersham County Schools,” Costley said.
