Cleveland Wal-Mart opens Wednesday

CLEVELAND - The new Wal-Mart in Cleveland opens Wednesday amid new signs that progress is being made toward opening a store in Cornelia.

The opening of the Cleveland means about 300 new jobs for the area... with only about ten percent of the employees coming from other Wal-Mart stores.

Meanwhile, Wal-Mart recently filed a rezoning and annexation request with the City of Cornelia... laying the groundwork for the long-awaited store there.

It would be located at Furniture Drive and Chase Road... the site of the former Schnadig Corporation.
