Hall County residents talk about their issues with health care
GAINESVILLE - Health care is not only a hot topic on Capitol Hill these days, it's also a hot topic in Gainesville.

The future of health care and the health insurance industry were discussed at the Fair Street Neighborhood Center Thursday night during a meeting of Hall County Democrats and interested residents.

"When I posted the event at Organizing For America, I had a lot of people come back and say they really wanted to come out and share their health care story," said Jennifer Gordon with Hall County Democrats.

And that's just what people did. Attendees shared their frustrations with the health care system and watched a mini documentary that included Hall County residents discussing problems they've had affording health care.

"There's a lot of people in our county and there's a lot of people in Georgia that have a story to tell about health care or how the lack of health care has affected their lives," Gordon said.

Organizers said the purpose of the meeting was to share stories and ideas about the past and future of health care. They said those ideas will be sent to U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson.
