Cornelia man killed in late-night crash
CLARKESVILLE – One man was killed after a crash in Habersham County late Wednesday, the Georgia State Patrol said.
A spokesman with the State Patrol post in Toccoa said Chance Cantrell lost control of his vehicle in a curve on Highway 197 near Rodeo Circle around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle left the roadway, hit a tree, overturned, and hit another tree. Cantrell, 38 from Cornelia, was ejected from his vehicle.
Authorities said it was raining at the time of the accident. They do not know if the weather played a role in the crash.
No other vehicles were involved.
